Aine Collins

Chairperson – Cork Foundation

TD for Cork North West 2011-2016


Áine Collins CPA is a former Fine Gael T.D. and was elected to Dáil Éireann in February 2011 -February 2016 to represent the Cork North West constituency. Áine, a qualified accountant and auditor, has 20 years experience in business development and management consultancy having run her own practice and worked in both start-up and established companies.


John Mullins

Secretary – Cork Foundation

CEO Amerenco Solar


CEO of Amarenco Solar, a company established in 2013 to source, structure, finance and asset manage large scale solar PV plants across Europe.
Prior to this role, John was Group CEO of one of Ireland’s largest companies, Bord Gais. He held this position for over five years was responsible for significant diversification from the core gas business into electricity, water and telecoms.


Yvonne Barry

Partner – Quintas


Yvonne Barry BA FCA obtained a B.A. degree from University College Cork in 1992. Having qualified as a chartered accountant with EY, Yvonne then spent 5 years working in the SME Sector before going back into practice. Yvonne ran her own accountancy practice (DMB & Co) before merging with Quintas in 2012 where she is currently a partner of the SME Department.


Frank Hannigan

Frank Hannigan, The Cork Foundation

Frank is a Consulting Entrepreneur. His expertise is in Commercialisation, Innovation and Strategy. His expertise is built on a rich and varied career including being a Startup Founder, Advisor, Investor and Senior Executive.  He Worked with larger companies like An Post and Examiner Newspapers. He has 16 years experience as a Non-Executive Director. He also serves on boards including RTÉ, MedXnote and the IMCA.


Conor Healy

Chief Executive – Cork Chamber


Conor Healy took up the position as Chief Executive of Cork Chamber in February 2006. Cork Chamber is the leading business organisation in Cork supporting and representing the interests of close to 1,100 businesses who employ over 100,000 people in the region. Prior to joining Cork Chamber he worked with IDA Ireland playing a lead role in the strategic development of the region and the attraction of inward investment


Suzanne Kearney

Assistant CEO SECAD

Suzanne Kearney, Cork Foundation

Planning and strategy development. Identification and application for European and other funding streams for 2014-2020. Supporting existing commercial contracts for the management of community benefit funds and exploring new funding opportunities. Managing and supporting current rural development and social inclusion programme operations including LEADER, SICAP, Tus.
ILDN (South) Rural Development sub-committee rep. LCDC rep on the Cork FLAG (Fisheries Local Action Group) for the delivery of specific priorities under the European Maritime Fisheries Fund 2014-2020.

Previous to this role , Suzanne served as Programme Manager for SECAD, as well as vast experience working with European Funds


Noreen O’Connell

Owner/Manager of Optime-ize Food Ltd


Noreen runs workshops & provides guidance to Food companies who are scaling their operations & brands to International Markets. She also provides coaching on Leadership & management & organization development. Noreen has worked Internationally for over 20 years and spent 12 years at executive level with PepsiCo. Noreen is an advisory board member for sensory food network Ireland, a guest lecturer on the Agrifoods graduate development program, and a Mentor with Enterprise Ireland.


Deirdre Waldron

We have grown steadily because we are well regarded for our ability to combine the various applications of PR and Marketing in an optimal way for clients, which is due to the specialists in each area of the firm working together towards a common objective. In particular we have fully embraced Social Media to implement Parallel campaigns that deliver for our clients and for our own business.

Apart from a busy career  Deirdre has been involved in various boards, she is a a former Marketing Director or the Rose of Tralee International Festival; Former Board Member of CERT (Tourism Training Agency); 2013 President of Network Cork, for women in Business, former Cork Chamber Ambassador and Panellist on TV3’s Midday Show.


Pádraic Vallely



Padraic has had nine and half years working for a national politician in Leinster House. Pádraic has vast experience in strategy, policy, fundraising, marketing and campaign management, communications and high end negotiation. Pádraic received a Masters in Business from Liverpool John Moores University with his thesis focused on Social Enterprise. He has a keen interest in helping people, improving our society and trying to make a difference.
